Hello! My name is Nolan Jessen. I am a Business Economics student at UC San Diego
driven by a commitment to operational excellence, technical precision, and high-impact leadership.
My foundation is built on a strong work ethic, having worked full-time to self-fund my education while
graduating as a community college valedictorian..
I thrive in fast-paced environments where data-driven strategy meets hands-on management, bringing a proven track
record across corporate operations, technology, and community impact. As a Fulfillment Operations Team Leader at Target,
I manage a team of 35 and optimize high-volume workflows, recently driving my department to a #1 regional ranking in
operational metrics.
Studying at UCSD inspired me to pick up an additional Computing Internship within their extended studies department.
Here, I leverage tools like Excel and SharePoint to streamline and manage IT infrastructure.
Beyond my professional life, I have volunteered for over a decade with the Friends of the Campbell Library, most recently
launching and scaling their social media presence to drive fundraising outreach. I’ve also been fortunate to broaden my
perspective through travel, such as exploring vintage watch shops in Tokyo which sparked a deep passion for the precision
of watches, a hobby that reflects my own focus on fine details. I strive for excellence in everything I do, and I am
eager to bring that same results driven and proactive mindset anywhere I go.
